A native of California Rea Dunn is one of the most influential designers of our time. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Industrial Design and has worked in graphics and fashion design. Her passion is currently working with clay. Rae Dunn’s inspiration comes from nature itself and is very much influenced by the Japanese principle of Wabi–Sabi, which is an appreciation for the aesthetic beauty of the imperfect and impermanence of things. A person who studies Wabi-Sabi finds the most basic natural items interesting, beautiful, and inspiring. Because of Rae Dunn’s desire to create something which has meaning for her, and inspire joy for others, Rae Dunn’s ceramic/pottery creations our sought after far and wide and has become extremely popular with decorators all over the country.
