ZEW uses native species of bamboos in the regions where we work. Currently, ZEW uses Vietnamese timber bamboos such as Bambusa Barbatus and solid bamboos Dendrocalamus Strictus. Both are harvested annually by local farmers from private lands, community and natural forests. ZEW strictly adheres to internationally standardized treatment procedures in preparing their bamboo for production. These processes are proven to be non-toxic and environmentally sound and ensure a finished product that withstands the test of time. We strive to protect our environment by using, and sustainable natural bamboo to build our collections. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant that continues to grow back once harvested. Each piece is lovingly handmade by local artists with no two items exactly alike. Each bamboo is unique by nature so you are to have a one- of-a-kind item. PRODUCT CARE: Keep bamboo furniture shaded from the sun and in DRY AREAS. Bring bamboo products indoor or cover with waterproof covers when not in use to minimize mold and mildew issues.
