This gallery-wrapped art piece features a red barn in a green field with a fence surrounded by trees.
“My images are based on the photographs I capture, mostly with Nikon cameras and lenses. Even if my primary goal will at all times be to catch that perfect shot straight out of the camera, I also enjoy tinkering around in Photoshop and other image editing programs. I shouldn’t have one particular style and probably never will. I’m pretty much far and wide with what catches my interest. [I’m] still experimenting, still loving each minute at the back of the camera and still believing in the magic.” -Lois Byran.
Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating top of the range fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a technique of stretching an artist’s canvas in order that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
