Each shelf is 5.5” inches deep with a chunky look as they are 1.5 inches thick. They are custom cut with a straight clean edge for a modern rustic vibe. OUR SHELVES STAND OUT – Our floating shelves have a fully recessed channel in the back where the hidden quality steel brackets fit into the pre-drilled holes. This is important as it allows the shelves to sit flush against the wall. Without this extra step your shelves will droop and the hidden bracket will be exposed. We also recommend installing all floating shelves into the studs. Our shelves are also sealed so they repel water and will be durable over time. Even in the bathroom and kitchen!
