The eight bulb sockets are wired with black fabric cables that can be wrapped around the beam freely. Please note: bulbs are not supplied. We recommend retro style Edison bulbs in your preferred shape globe, teardrop, etc. tungsten or LED filament, with E26 screw base up to 60 watts.
The default drop of about 37.4 inches from ceiling to sockets can be shortened by hanging the beam on a different chain link or cutting the chains. It also depends on the way you wrap the eight socket cables around the beam.
